Gyeon have done it again! They’ve brought us another ‘World First’ with their revolutionary, super slick, SiO2 ceramic infused car shampoo – Gyeon Q²M Bathe+. In this Gyeon Bathe Plus review we explain the benefits of a ceramic infused car soap and explain how to use Gyeon Q²M Bathe+ on your car.
Gyeon Q²M Bathe+ Car Shampoo Product Description
Gyeon Q²M Bathe+ is a pH netural, SiO2 ceramic infused car shampoo. It’s based on their excellent ‘Q²M Bathe’ (note: no +/plus in the name) which is Gyeon’s ‘pure shampoo’. Bathe+ has SiO2 ceramic ingredients ‘added’ to the formulation, hence the ‘+/plus’.
Still confused? Below is an easy explainer:
- Gyeon Q²M Bathe = Pure Car Shampoo
- Gyeon Q²M Bathe+ = SiO2 Ceramic Infused Car Shampoo
In this product review we’re looking at the Gyeon Q²M Bathe+ SiO2 ceramic infused car shampoo.
PRO TIP
Washing your car with Gyeon Q2M Bathe+ leaves behind a noticeable layer of hydrophobic protection, which repels water and dirt. Gyeon claim that protection offered by Bathe+ will last for up to 8 weeks.
Bathe+ is safe to use on all exterior surfaces of your vehicle including paint, metal trim, plastic trim, wheels and windows. The SiO2 ceramic ingredient adds instant protection to bare, untreated surfaces.
If your car has a ceramic coating, a Gyeon coating or another brand, this SiO2 infused car shampoo will boost the base ceramic coating.

How to Use Gyeon Quartz Q²M Bathe+
In this gyeon bathe+ review we will explore the three ways to use Gyeon Q2M Bathe+
- Dilute it in a bucket and use like a regular car shampoo.
- Spray the product on the car with your foam lance.
- Spread the product onto clean, wet paintwork with a microfiber mitt.

PRO TIP
If the bottle has been unused for some time, gently shake the bottle before use to ensure the shampoo is properly mixed.
Diluted in a Wash Bucket
The first way to use Gyeon Q²M Bathe+ SiO2 ceramic infused car soap is to simply use it like a regular car shampoo. Dilute the Bathe+ soap in a bucket with warm water.
Using the supplied pump dispenser, add 12-15 squirts (about 20ml) into your bucket. Then add 10 liters of warm water, giving you the suggested dilution ratio of 500:1. Warm water will improve the cleaning ability of the car shampoo.
For a complete step-by-step guide on how to use the two bucket car wash method check out our PRO Detailer in-depth guide.
Gyeon Q²M Bathe Plus does not produce thick, long lasting suds. In order to boost the suds, place the tip of your pressure washer lance or garden hose below the water line in your bucket. Then spray a jet of water into the bucket to create more suds.
Don’t Forget to Pre-Wash
Whenever washing a car, we always recommend you carry out a pre-wash before using any car shampoo as part of a contact wash. For a complete step-by-step guide on how to safely wash your car, check out our PRO Detailer in-depth guide.
PRO TIP
Always read the manufacturer instructions before using any chemical product.
If you follow our PRO Detailer guide, when you get to stage 6 – The Contact Wash, the process will remain the same. Wash your car carefully and methodically, one panel at a time. Work around the car from top to bottom. Do not let SiO2 infused car soap dry on the paintwork. If necessary, rinse each panel immediately after washing.
PRO TIP
DO NOT use on hot paintwork, or in strong, direct sunlight. NEVER let the product dry on your car.
Despite the lack of thick, stable soap suds, the Bathe Plus car soap offers a slick, lubricious wash experience. The lack of suds can be disconcerting but keep going! If you’ve pre-washed your car properly, you’re perfectly safe to use Bathe+.
If you really struggle with the lack of soap suds, simply foam up your bucket with your pressure washer lance each time you dunk your wash mitt.
Sprayed on with Snow Foam Lance
The second way to use Gyeon Q2M Bathe+ car shampoo is by applying it with a snow foam cannon.
Mix 20ml Gyeon Bathe+ car soap with 400ml warm water in your snow foam cannon. Then spray the car with the Bathe+ mixture. Use all of the mixture in your snow foam lance on the car. Carefully wash each panel, one at a time, working around the car from top to bottom. Rinse your wash mitt in a bucket of clean water after each panel. Make sure to wring out your wash mitt before washing the next panel.
Thoroughly rinse the product residue off the car. Make sure to rinse the car immediately. Do not let the car soap mixture dry on the car and do not use this product on hot panels, or in direct sunlight. If you’re worried about the Bathe+ car soap drying on the panels, rinse each panel immediately after washing.
Ensure that you properly flush your foam cannon with warm water following this application method. The SiO2 ingredient could damage or block your foam cannon if allowed to dwell and dry.

Applied directly using a microfiber mitt
The third and final way to use Gyeon Bathe Plus car shampoo is by applying it directly to the paintwork with a microfiber wash mitt.
Wash your car with a pure shampoo first. Then with paintwork and panels clean and wet, apply one or two pump from the bottle to a clean, wet wash mitt. Apply the undiluted Bathe+ to each panel, in a similar fashion to washing the car.
As the car is already clean, there’s no need to rinse your wash mitt. After wiping over a couple of panels, squirt another dose of Bathe+ from the pump dispenser onto the face of the wash mitt. Continue in this fashion until you’ve coated the entire vehicle.
Once you’ve covered the whole car, thoroughly rinse the product off each panel. As before, don’t let this product dry on the car and do not use this product, on hot panels, or in direct sunlight. If necessary, rinse each panel immediately after applying Gyeon Bathe+.
Ease of use of Gyeon Q²M Bathe Plus
Bathe+ is an easy to use and versatile Gyeon soap. Being able to use it just like a regular car shampoo means it is both simple and familiar. Having the option to apply it directly or with a foam lance makes it super convenient and flexible.
No matter how you choose to use Gyeon Bathe+, you will see the water behaviour on treated panels change dramatically. Paintwork, trim and glass washed with Gyeon Q²M Bathe Plus becomes very hydrophobic. Water is repelled from the panel and the little that remains will bead dramatically, making drying with a towel or warm air car dryer, a simple job.

Benefits of Using Gyeon Q²M Bathe+ SiO2 Car Shampoo
Not only does Gyeon Q2M Bathe Plus do a great job of cleaning your paintwork, it adds instant hydrophobicity thanks to its ceramic ingredient. Gyeon claim that washing your car with Q²M Bathe+ offers both protection and genuine ‘self-cleaning’ properties.
This SiO2 ceramic infused car soap also adds additional noticeable gloss and slickness to your paintwork. Once fully dry, gently run the back of your (clean) hand across the treated paintwork to feel the improvement in the surface gloss and slickness.
It’s the perfect product to help cleanse and maintain, boost or top-up, any existing ceramic coating. You can use Gyeon Bathe+ on top of ceramic coatings and it’s perfectly paired with any of Gyeon’s own ceramic coating products, as well as those ceramic coatings offered by rival brands.
Gyeon Bathe+ can be used on both ceramic coated vehicles and uncoated vehicles. Being able to wash an uncoated car with Bathe+, leaving behind a layer of protection, is a huge benefit. It saves time, effort and the need to use any other Last Stage Protection (LSP) products.
Gyeon Bathe Plus can be used with some of the other Gyeon ceramic infused products. This shampoo is a perfect companion to the Gyeon Ceramic Detailer and the Gyeon Wet Coat Ceramic paint sealant.
How long does Gyeon Bathe+ last?
Gyeon claim that Q²M Bathe+ is capable of up to 8 weeks of hydrophobic durability. Our own use of this product and the testing that we’ve conducted, would suggest that this bold claim is somewhat accurate.
If your car has an existing ceramic coating, then we have found that Bathe Plus helps to noticeably boost hydrophobicity. The water behaviour and beading improves as does the gloss and slickness of the paint. This is even more noticeable on cars coated over 12 months previous.
When using Gyeon Bathe+ on an uncoated car, our experience suggests that 2-3 weeks of durability is more realistic. The durability of any protective product can vary, so your mileage may vary.
Value for money of Gyeon Q²M Bathe+
Gyeon Q²M Bathe+ car soap is not the cheapest car shampoo on the market. However it is one of the better value SiO2 car shampoos. Expect to pay around $18.00 for the 400ml bottle and $36.00 for the 1000ml offering. The cost of one wash, based on using 20ml of product, is around $0.70 per application.

Gyeon Bathe Plus Packaging
The Gyeon brand offers some of the best packaging and labelling in the car detailing business. Their unique bottle design is as instantly recognisable as the original Coca-Cola bottle.
Gyeon shampoo is offered in 400ml and 1000ml bottles. Both sizes of bottle come with a handy pump dispenser for ease of use. One pump of the dispenser gives you approximately 1.5ml of car shampoo. Therefore, if you dispense 12 to 15 pumps of the Bathe+ car soap into your wash bucket, you should have enough product to wash your car.
Conclusion
In this gyeon bathe+ review we tried to answer the question, is ‘Gyeon Q²M Bathe+ the best car wash shampoo and conditioner?’ Gyeon Quartz Q²M Bathe+ car shampoo is a solid product – no doubt about it. It’s a great way to safely clean your ceramic coated car and boost the hydrophobic protection at the same time.
As a standalone car soap for regular use on uncoated cars, it’s a little harder to justify. Yes, it adds hydrophobic protection to uncoated cars. But its inability to produce thick, stable suds means we don’t find it a satisfying car shampoo to use.
If you have a ceramic coated car, particularly a Gyeon ceramic coated car, buy this car soap and use it regularly. It’s the fastest, most convenient way to cleanse and top up your ceramic coating.
