British brand Bouncer’s burst onto the detailing scene over a decade ago with their small batch, hand crafted show waxes. In this Bouncers Wax review, we take a look at their breakthrough product – Bouncers Done & Dusted Quick Detailer. This water based, cross polymer quick detailer and gloss enhancer is super simple to use and set the detailing world alight when it was released. Does the hype match the reality?
Bouncer’s Wax Done & Dusted Quick Detailer Product Description
Done & Dusted Quick Detailer from Bouncer’s is a gloss enhancing quick detailer (QD) spray. The unique formulation of Done & Dusted means that the product adds gloss, but doesn’t smear or streak.
This quick detailer adds maximum ‘wet-look’ gloss to painted body panels. Done & Dusted can be used on almost every exterior surface of your vehicle including paint, metal trim, plastic trim, wheels and windows.
Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer is simple to use and compliments all waxes and sealants offering additional protection and slickness.
About the Bouncer’s Wax Brand
The Bouncers Wax brand was born in 2011. Founder Jay Sultan initially began blending and producing traditional show waxes – the first such product being ‘22’. These waxes were licensed and marketed by Dodo Juice, first reaching a European, and later a Global audience.
The Bouncers car care range of unique waxes grew, with each one sporting a memorable name, like ‘Satsuma Rock’, ‘Sherbet Fizz’ and ‘Vanilla Ice’. Next came the wax safe car shampoo ‘Slick Mick’ and the award nominated Quick Detailer ‘Done & Dusted’. Specialist and limited edition waxes like Bouncer’s Fortify Winter Wax were also added along with SiO2 infused blends. The product range has grown and now covers all aspects of car care and car detailing.
Each product in the Bouncers detailing range is hand blended and hand poured in the UK with a constant, laser like focus on quality control. Bouncer’s offer their high performance, premium products throughout the UK, Europe, Asia and the USA.
How to Use Bouncers Done & Dusted Quick Detailer
Before you use Bouncers Done & Dusted, you need to wash your car. For a complete step-by-step guide on how to safely wash your car, check out our PRO Detailer in-depth guide.
Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer is a traditional, gloss enhancing Quick Detail Spray and Last Stage Protection (LSP) product. You apply it to your vehicle, then buff off with a microfiber towel, to reveal a high-gloss, wet-look shine.
Prior to using Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer, gently shake the bottle to ensure that the ingredients are properly mixed. Liquid detailing products can sometimes suffer from chemical separation if left to stand for an extended period of time. Mixing the chemicals will help you to achieve the best results when using the product.
PRO TIP
Always read the manufacturer instructions before using any chemical product.

When to use quick detailer spray
Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer 500ml is designed to be one of the best quick detailers for use on waxed. It can be used on both waxed or un-waxed cars, wet or dry paintwork, and can be used as a drying aid.
If you follow our step-by-step guide on how to safely wash your car, you have a couple of different options on how to use this Quick Detailer Spray.
To use Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer as a drying aid, complete the safe wash process through step 7. Then apply a couple of sprays of Bouncer’s Done & Dusted and dry each panel with a clean microfiber drying towel. The quick detailer will serve two functions if used in this way.

Firstly, it adds extra lubricity as you dry the paintwork, helping to minimise swirls and light, micro-marring induced from towel drying. Secondly, it will add some gloss and protection as well as reducing the chances of water spots being left behind.
PRO TIP
Always use a high-quality, soft, twisted-loop microfiber drying towel to reduce micro-marring and swirl marks.Â
To use Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer more like a typical Quick Detailer, complete the safe wash process through step 8. Then apply a couple of sprays of Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer directly onto a clean dry panel.
Working one panel at a time, gently and carefully spread the product across the entire panel using the microfiber. Flip the towel to a dry side, or use a fresh microfiber towel, to buff to a high gloss finish.
Can you use quick detailer on interior?
Yes, Bouncers Done and Dusted Quick Detailer can be used on the interior of your vehicle. They advise that you don’t spray the product on the steering wheel or pedals. Done & Dusted can be sprayed onto interior plastics, then removed using a lint free microfiber towel. Buff with a dry microfiber towel to leave a natural, antistatic finish.
Ease of Application of Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer
Whether you’re using Done & Dusted as a drying aid or regular QD, its super easy to apply to any vehicle. It is super slick to apply and we’ve seen no streaking or smearing. That’s despite applying it directly onto warm body panels in less than ideal conditions.
We always advise working one panel at a time. Mist two or three sprays onto a clean microfiber towel or spraying directly onto a cool, clean body panel. Spread the product evenly over the panel with the microfiber towel. Flip the towel to a dry side, or use a fresh towel, then buff to remove excess product. It’s that simple!
PRO TIP
Spray Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer onto a dedicated, wheel only microfiber towel, wipe over each alloy wheel face and buff, to add extra gloss.Â
Benefits of Using Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer
Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer adds an extra layer of wet-look gloss to your paintwork and trim. It can be used to remove water marks, light dust and finger prints.
Done & Dusted also adds some protection, though won’t last as long as a wax or sealant.
In terms of the amount of gloss that Done and Dusted adds, it’s very noticeable. We rate it highly, amongst the top five when compared to rival products in its class. This quick detailer spray also adds a level of slickness to the touch. You can feel the improvement in the surface slickness through your finger tips.
A core benefit of this particular quick detail spray from Bouncer’s is that it is wax safe. You can use Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer on top of existing or fresh layers of wax. It’s perfectly paired with any of Bouncer’s own paste wax products, as well as those offered by rival brands.
Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer can be used as a drying aid. Following our ‘How-To’ application guide above, apply Done & Dusted QD after your regular wash routine, before towel drying. Not only will it add lubricity, but it will also leave behind extra gloss which helps to improve the look of your car.
How Long Does Quick Detailer Last?
Bouncers Done & Dusted Quick Detailer is not designed to be a durable detailer spray. It’s simply not capable of withstanding multiple wash cycles over a number of weeks. We’ve found that Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer can boost gloss and protection for a couple of weeks at most. It should be noted that the durability of any LSP product can vary, so your mileage may vary.

Value for Money of Bouncers Done and Dusted Quick Detailer 500ml
Bouncer’s Done & Dusted Quick Detailer 500ml is great value for money. The cost of a typical application, based on 25-35ml of product, is around $0.75 per car. Done & Dusted is available in both 500ml and 1000ml trigger spray bottles plus a 5000ml bulk offering.
Bouncer’s Wax Packaging
The Bouncer’s brand identity is certainly unique. Despite using a typical, off the shelf bottle design, their labelling is unmistakable. Personally, I have always felt that their branding, design and labels haven’t matched the quality of the product. Yes, the instructions, information and warnings are clear but they lack a quality and professionalism of rival brands with inferior products.
The trigger sprays are very high quality, offering an infinitely adjustable mist, spray or stream and fully closed setting. These triggers have a good draw, consistent spray output throughout the trigger spray cycle.
Conclusion
Bouncers Done & Dusted Quick Detailer is a firm favourite in the PRO Detailer Tips garage. It’s great for boosting gloss, adding protection and gently removing stray water drips and spots at the end of a maintenance wash or full detail.
For me, it’s a shame that this product is fragrance free – perhaps I’m just a sucker for a sweet scented product! However Bouncer’s Wax do have their ‘FLAVA’ limited edition range. The fragrances include Parma Violets, Strawberry Milkshake and Chocolate Orange.
A Quick Detailer made by a company known worldwide for their show waxes was always going to be ‘wax safe’. This is a really strong selling point for those of us with a liking for ‘old skool’ waxes.
Regardless of whether or not your car is waxed, sealed or ceramic coated, this is a fantastic product. We use it as a drying aid, as a last stage protection product, on interiors and exteriors. This iconic, neon green Quick Detailer is just brilliant!
